We have had an excellent day at the zoo. We saw lots of exciting animals and enjoyed meeting the 5 new tigers. We learnt about lions teeth and even got to hold a mould of Casper the white lions canine teeth 🦁.
FUN FACT: an adult lion is the same size as 11 children standing shoulder to shoulder. We measured it to see how big that is.
The weather was very warm so we chose to cool off in the shade with an ice lolly at the end of the day 😁 Thanks to Jan at the zoo for the fun, educational tour.
Today bikeability came in to teach us how to use balance bikes, it was so much fun!! We can’t wait to try out our new skills in PE next week.

We celebrated the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a tea party. In the morning we decorated bunting, made crowns and designed a wedding outfit and in the afternoon we had a picnic on the Astro. We ate cakes, fruit, jelly and ice cream and washed it all down with a delicious drink of squash (thanks Frogs).
Today we made 3D shapes with Mrs Bradford. We had to tell the class what we had made and one of its properties.
Today we went on a hunt for mini beasts around the school grounds. This term we are going to learn all about minibeasts and their homes.
We visited the church in Godshill for an Easter service with Father John. We sang a song about spring chickens 🐔
We had a great time pretending to be knights and princess 👑
We learnt about castle building, jousting and types of food eaten in the olden days.
