Today we had an assembly to see everyone’s Easter bonnets. The Easter bonnets were judged and 2 winners from each year group picked, along with an overall winner. Well done to everyone!!
Yesterday we took advantage of the ☀️ sunny weather and took our art lesson outside. We choose natural objects and looked closely to see all the little details. We then concentrated hard and drew them.
We have had great fun dressing up as our favourite book characters.
We got very excited when it started snowing this afternoon, it hardly ever snows on the Isle of Wight.
We decided to go out and have some fun!!
This week we have been learning about position and direction in maths. We used BeeBots to help us.
We found a strange egg outside on Monday. We carried it really carefully into our classroom and wrapped it up warm. When we had all left, for the night, it hatched.
Today we got the Quiet Critters out and shared some of our favourite stories.
We were very lucky today, a lady from Asda came into our class to teach us all about chocolate. We learnt that the cocoa pod grows on a tree and that the seeds are used to make chocolate, when mixed with sugar and milk. We tasted different types of chocolate 😋 – milk, plain white, chocolate spread and chocolate milkshake . Thanks Asda!!
Today we created a plan for our instructions on how to catch a star, we made sure we used time words at the start of each new instruction. We drew a story map as a class and stepped through it in pairs.
This week in Rainbow Assembly the children were awarded 100% attendance certificates for last term. Congratulations to all those children that received one.
